One Tree Hill Episode 3.11 Review!

3.11 Return Of The Future

New gyms, babies, fashion shows, Nada Surf, and Keith's return. Not to mention the unexpected ending. It was an eppy not to miss.

Nathan/Haley: Good ol' happy Naley is what we were treated to in the beginning of this episode. Not to mention Haley being one to initiate the scrunchy system and hinting at sex with Nathan to 'console' him. I liked this side of Haley. And th way she invited Nathan was just great to watch. She just seemed so happy to be able to act lovey with him. But of course because of Dan Nathan was having some doubts about his last night with Haley. And after finding out Haley wasn't on birth control that night really took him over the edge leading them into a huge fight. Which I have to say I really liked wacthing because it didn't seemed forced and it was really believable. Sometimes on television when you watch a show the actors seem kind of uncomfortable during the argument, but James and Joy really sold it. In the end they apologized to each other. It seemed to have shown them that there are a lot of things that they hadn't considered about marriage such as the possibility of children. At least this can be a jump off to actually discussing things.

Dan/Nathan: What a father Dan Scott is? Purposely planting doubts in his son's head in hopes to get rid of Haley. Dan sinks to a new low telling Nathan that Haley might get herself pregnant in order to trap Nathan. And it's all so he can control Nathan. What's even worse is that he can easily achiev to have Nathan doubt everything. Thank goodness that in the end Nathan knows better than to listen to his father. Dan needs to learn better ways of parenting. He claims to do it for his son's best interest but he's only hurting him more. But I guess he wouldn't be Dan Scott if he wasn't a controlling, lying, calculating, manipulative bastard.

Brooke/Lucas: No major drama for these two in this episode. Thank goodness. It was actually more comedic, due to Lucas teasing Brooke about her letters that she wrote to him over the summer by quoting them to her. After hearing him quote them Brooke was determined to get her letters back. She manages to get them back during a romantic night she planned for them to thank him for getting her into Rogue Vogue a fashion show for new designers, which is ruined by Naley's fight. She then later finds out that Luke didn't get her in. It was just so sweet to see these two together and Brooke admitting how hard it is for her to be vulnerable with him. I also really like that they are not jumping into having sex. They are actually taking their time this time around and getting to know each other better. That was their mistake the first time and it's good to see that they are not repeating it.

Lucas/Nathan: Conflict is still brewing between these two brothers. And I'm sorry to admit this, but it is kinda hot to these two brothers fighting. Their conflict is brought on this time due to a loss of a game. Natahn refuses to help out in the gym and of course Luke disagrees with his attitude. Then after his fight with Haley, Nathan is visited by Lucas with sage advice. He first shares his experience of the pregnancy scare he had with Brooke then he tells Nate that he should put the team before himself. In the end Nate takes the sadvice and it seems like the brothers are civil to each other again.

Peyton/Ellie: This mother and daughter duo are actually trying to bond. Although Peyton mentioned that it is wierd for her to have someone waitng for her at home. But it's a new experience that she's gotta get used to. They are working hard together to get bands for the benefit album Peyton came up with ansd the first Band on the list is Nada Surf. Using a few tricks from Ellie, Peyton manages to get the band to commit. During this whole mission Peyton learns a little more about Ellie and I guess it made her realize that she realize that she really wants to get to know her and doesn't want to lose her to cancer. It's really great to see Peyton get to attempt a relationship with her reall mother.

Whitey/Team: Everytime they show Whitey being tough with the team I just love it! He always has some awesome one liners and he did not disappoint in this one. After the team loses their second game of the season Whitey doesn't think they are worthy of playing in the gym that carries his name, so he mones them to a more run down gym that as a punishment the team must clean up themselves. Suffice it to say the team is not happy. Especially Nathan, who refuses to help until he gets some good advice from Lucas. It may seem cruel, but I can see that Whitey wants theteam to work together on and off the court. And making them work together to fix the old gym so they can play in it is a good start.

Keith/Everyone: After waiting all through the second half of season 2 and the first half of season 3 Keith finally returns! He surprises Lucas after the game and the two talk about what's been going on in their lives and it's nice because the banter between the two is just so natural that it doesn't seem like Keith's been gone at all. They do discuss the fact that they both know that Deb was the one to set the dealership on fire. It was good to see Luke have his uncle back. Oh the confrontation with Dan. Keith came to tell Dan he was back and Dan just presented him with a tape of him buying the same liquor that was used to drug him. For someone who claims to be a smart man, Dan is really stupid. He should know that plenty of people drink that brand and just because he sees him buying it doesn't mean he used it to drug him.Dan is just so ridiculous. It was nice to see Keith defend Lucas too though and the fact that he ddn't let Dan get to him.  Then we saw him go to see Karen. And it was so nice to see her so happy to see him. The flirting between the two was just so refreshing because you saw that Karen really was interested in him. And the ending kiss was so fantastic because finally Keith got something he had been waiting years for. Then Dan had to ruin it by having Keith arrested in the middle of the kiss. He is such an ass.

Special Mentions: I just have to say how happy I am that Peyton asked Haley to be on the album. Well, she should considering that was the song she used to give Ellie to listen to when she asked for help to start the album. The next was Rachel entering Brooke in Rogue Vogue. Now, I haven't really been bothered by Rachel in the past few episodes, but she looked too sketchy when Brooke walked away after thanking her and she responded with a "No, thank you." It was just too suspicious.

Until next time. Peace, Love, and Hugs!
