Poetry Corner: The Light Is Not Far From Me

So often I'm surrounded by the dark
It's so hard to not succumb to it
But I fight and fight to overcome it
But if I look hard enough there is a speck of light
I've realized the light is not far from me
I don't have to give in to the darkness
I don't have to give in to the negative
I may not often see it, but the light is there
There's always hope to be had
There's always a place for faith in the positive
So tired of letting the negativity win
So tired of jst giving up and giving in
That positive light is always there for me
The warmth of acceptance is not far from me
So often I must remind myself the light is not far from me
