Wrote this back in 2005. Unfortunately I can't recall what inspired me to write it and who I may have been thinking of. Anyway, read on:
"Unrequited Love"
It's been so long since I've thought about you
I thought that I'd overcome my infatuation
You used to have such an effect on everything I'd do
You were definitely my number one temptation
Looking at you and feeling your touch always made me melt
Seeing you smile at me always made my day
Too bad I never admitted to you how I really felt
It was always so hard having to keep my feelings at bay
You never knew I liked you as more than a friend
You never saw how when you touched me I would blush
In front of my friends I had to lie and pretend
To them my feelings for you was just a little crush
I was always too afraid to admit how I feel
I thought that if I told there would be no one to believe
I felt that no one would think my feelings were real
They'd say that to think it was love would make me naïve
You've taken for yourself a huge place in my heart
I see you now and I'm surprised how long my feelings lasted
I guess I've always loved you from the very start
I was a fool to believe that I was ever past it
It's hard to explain why I have all these feelings inside
Most of the time I'm wishing you felt the same
To admit to you how I felt I've always tried
Oh, how I shiver even just thinking of your name
Every time you pass me my heart starts to race
You're caring, kind, funny, smart, and most of all sincere
Whenever I go out thoughts of you haunt me in any place
My day just brightens whenever you are near
Looking at you again all these memories come flooding back
I've always wondered if you could feel the same for me
I'm glad that you're here again so we can get back on track
Who knows what the future holds for us and if it will end happily

More poem snippets and story update...
Here are a couple more snippets of poems I began writing:
The Simplest Things
It’s incredible how something so small could bring happiness
A kind gesture, a loving look, a simple escape
It’s just enough to erase any sort of sadness
It doesn’t take much to put a smile on your face
Music Speaks
The melodies and chords take me away
The lyrics are all the things I’d like to say
It conveys all the emotions I’d like to express
It’s the first thing I turn to for relieving my stress
It’s the one thing I know I can count on
To show how I feel I just choose the right song
I just close my eyes and escape with the sound
It’s so peaceful feeling the music all around
Also for those that follow my stories at FanFiction.net, I have put my story Envy & Trust on hiatus until further notice. I'm just not as focused on the direction of the story as I once was. Hopefully I'll get back to it again.

Why The Hate Against The Veronicas?

I get that not everyone is going to be a fan of theirs. That's completely understandable as everyone has their own opinion and tastes in music. You don't have to like them, but is it necessary to take the time to insult them harshly and harass other fans? It amazes me that there are people out there who take the time to talk about how much they dislike these girls. Even going as far as creating pages just to hate n them. The funny thing is they talk about we the fans being pathetic for following and admiring these girls but yet who is wasting time talking about singers they dislike?! It makes no fucking sense to me. If I don't like a celebrity I don't waste a minute even thinking of them let alone opening an account dedicated to hating them and their fans. In my opinion that is just completely pathetic.
I was lucky enough to see Lisa and Jess live on stage 3 times last July. They were amazing! They put on an amazing show, they were funny, they were entertaining, and they just sang their hearts out. You could just see they were happy to be there doing what they love and sharing it with the fans. What other artists will willingly jump in the crowd to give their fans hugs and sign autographs the way they did? I wasn't lucky enough to meet Jess, but I did meet Lisa and she was a total sweetheart. She was just so nice. She talked to me and gave me a hug and was so sweet about it. She took her time with you and didn't rush you to move on.
So I say Fuck the Haters!! You don't have to be fans or like like them, but at least be respectful of the people who do. No one is forcing you to be their fans and listen to their music. Find something else that is actually worth your time.
I Love You Jess and Lisa! The Veronicas Fan 4 Life!!!!

Music....My Escape
Everyone in the world has something that they do that just helps them get away from the harsh realities of the world. Some people read, write, paint, play sports, and so on. Me while I sometimes do write and read to escape, my absolute favorite thing is to do is listen to my iPod. I enjoy listening to a good song, closing my eyes and just get lost in the music. There is no better escape for me. It's my sanctuary. I listen to different genres depending on my mood. And it is just so relaxing to just let go all of my frustrations. Here is a list of some of my fave songs to lose myself in and this is just a fraction:

Mouth Shut - The Veronicas
Revenge Is Sweeter - The Veronicas
Polaris - Jimmy Eat World
Love Will Come Through - Travis
Pieces - Sum 41
Quicksand - Everly
Leaving Town Alive - Bethany Joy Galeotti
Then Slowly Grows (Come To Me) - Bethany Joy Galeotti

2009 Reflections
Okay, so I know it's already almost April but I just wanted to reflect on how great the second half of 2009 was for me. I had a couple of great experiences that to this day I still can't believe it happened to me. First was the fact that I got to finally see my all time favorite singers The Veronicas not once, not twice, but three times in one month. Suffice it to say July '09 was awesome for me. Saw them at Summerfest, then Club Metro in Chicago, and finally at Six Flags in Chicago. But out of all three the concert @ Metro which they headlined was the absolute best! These girls have such amazing voices and they have so much energy! The show was absolutely awesome. We were actually front row! It helps being early. The opening bands THE ART and Carney were great! But the most incredible part came at the end of the night. As we were heading out and got in line for the merchandise room. Little did we know Lisa from The Veronicas would be there alongside her mother at the table signing things. We knew the other bands would be there but Lisa being there was a shocker! I mean I've been a huge fan since they first came out in '05 and never dreamed of meeting them.
I had her sign my ticket stub, her mom sold me some pins and I got to hug Lisa and tell her how awesome they are. Too bad Jess wasn't there. Here is the picture that she took of us. She took a really good shot. Was a little bitter that I didn't have that much space in my camera so I had to share the pic with my mother and sister, but I got over it because that's Lisa in the picture with us and she took the picture with my camera. Okay that was a really fangirl moment. Even months later I'm still squeeing about it. It was such an incredible experience to meet someone I am such a fan of and admire. By the way, her Australian accent in person is beautiful. Not to mention she is gorgeous in person. She is really sweet and kind. Never in a million years did I think I would ever get to meet her. I just wish I had met Jess too, but for some reason she didn't come down.
I also got to meet Reeve Carney, lead singer of the band Carney. He has an incredible voice. He also happens to be Lisa's boyfriend. Did not realize it at the time as I talked to him for a couple of minutes about his cool necklace and bracelets, which he said his mother makes for him. I sorta developed a little bit of a crush. Lisa is so lucky.
Also met the bassist from THE ART, KJ who is majorly awesome in her own right. She is a fantastic bassist and is the only female in the band. Girl Power! Loved her jewelry. She was really cool. I've communicated with her through myspace. She's commented back to me a couple times. And yes it is her! I got an autographed poster from the band.

Another incredible moment would be another of my favorite artists, Kelly Clarkson. She's pretty much at the top of my favorite artists. I was set to go to her concert in Milwaukee Oct. 23rd. Another draw was that The Veronicas were supposed to open for her but they had to drop out at the last minute. Either way I was excited to see her live! Been a huge fan since her first album back in '03. The voice on her is amazing and I had to hear it live. I later heard of a karaoke contest through her iPhone app in which two lucky winners from each city she toured would get to have a meet and greet with the grand prize winner actually doing a sound check. I entered not thinking much of it, but just doing it for fun. A couple weeks before the show I got notification that I was the runner-up! At first I didn't believe it. I just couldn't!
Finally I did everything asked and awaited concert night. I was still having some doubts as I arrived there. Sure enough I went to will call and had the passes in my hand. I was able to take one guest and took my mom because she is such an American Idol fan. We went through all the instructions of meeting in a room and waiting our turn. The security guard teasingly told us that Kelly was a hugger and not to expect her to shake hands. I found that to be so sweet. Finally went in and sure enough she went in for a hug. She hugs tightly! She even cracked my mom's back! LOL! I told her how great her music was and how I relate so much to it. She was so gracious and gave me another hug. She really is so sweet and bubbly! Gorgeous in person and short! BTW she is NOT fat! I hate that people say that.

This band is great! Their songs "Testify" and "Love Me, Chase Me" are some of my favorites. Can't wait for their album! Interesting fact: He will be playing Peter Parker/Spiderman on Broadway! I keep up with them through Twitter. His brother Zane who is also in the band as the guitarist is hilarious!

So , for all that it was an incredible and unforgettable night. What made it even more incredible was the fact I never imagined this could happen. It was so unexpected! Things like that just don't happen to me!

After that it was time for the show. Parachute opened for Kelly. They are really good. I actually got a picture with one of the band members at the end of the concert. Kelly put on an incredible show. She did not disappoint! Her voice amazes me! I'll post some concert pics another time.
Overall, those experiences made 2009 a great year for me. At least the second half, lol! Okay, I have written too much now. I shall go!
