Okay so I was a little down last week and wrote a poem. It's not one of my best but it was how I was feeling at the time. It's untitled since I have had some trouble on thinking what to call it. Anyway, here is a snippet of it:
"Everything just feels so mundane
Things around me are driving me insane
My spirits are low and it's hard to bring up
My mood is sour and it really sucks
Tears fall and I can't explain why
I sit here putting on a front when I just wanna cry
My body aches and my head really hurts
Been going on for days and it seems to get worse
At this point I feel I feel like I'm beyond help
Who can help me if I can't even help myself
Can't concentrate, my mind is so clouded
My head is pounding, going crazy I feel like shouting..."
So there it is.

Lily Allen's It's Not Me, It's You
Okay, so lately I've been listening to Lily Allen's new album. Mostly to her song "The Fear". I have to say that I really am loving her second album. It has some fun songs on it. The best part is that in her music you get so caught in the upbeat melody that at first you really don't pay attention to what she's singing. Then as soon as you really do listen to the lyrics you end up do a double take and ask yourself 'did she really just say that?' and the answer is yes she did.
Lily does not hold back on anything. She tackels topics such as drug use, celebrity fixation, bad performance in bed, and so on. There is even a song on there titled "F**k You" that is supposedly written about President Bush. That song is one of my faves because the whole song just sounds so sweet and upbeat despite the f**k you part. "Not Fair" is another favorite of mine because it talks about finding and being with the perfect guy but he unfortunately sucks in bed.
I just mostly love that with Lily Allen her music is all about having fun and being truthful. You don't really have to take her seriously. Just go along and enjoy the music. I really enjoy it because there is not one song on here that brings you down. This a funny feel good album. It's just so Lily. Check it out.

Kelly Clarkson Releasing New Album!
I am so excited to hear that Kelly Clarkson has a new album coming out next month. It's been awhile since she has anything out since her last album My December, which I thought was a great album because I could almost relate to almost every song on that album, but to the music industry it was a flop. But she now has a new single out "My Life Would Suck Without You". It is the first single off her new album All I Ever Wanted which will be coming out on March 10th. I love this song because it's just a fun song to belt out.
Kelly seems to always put out songs that you just want to sing at the top of your lungs. People have said that it sounds just like "Since U Been Gone" but other than the very beginning where kind of sounds similiar, the song stands out on it's own and really doesn't have any other similiarities. Overall I'm excited about the new album. I have yet to be disappointed by any Kelly album so I don't have any doubts that I will love the new one. After all she is by far the most successful American Idol beside Carrie Underwood. Kelly conquered the Pop charts while Carrie conquered the Country charts.
There were rumors that her next album was going to be country just like Jessica Simpson had, but I'm glad she stayed in the Pop genre with the rock edge. Although I have know doubt that she could be just as successful in Country. I guess it's because I'm already used to her sound and it would take time for me to get into a new genre for her. I mean I like Jessica Simpson but I just can't get into her Country album since I'm so used to her singing Pop. Maybe it'll be awhile more before I could get used to it and I think if Kelly had made the switch it would be the same.
Anyway, if you have a chance check out her new single and then her album when it comes out.
Her new album All I Ever Wanted will be out March 10th, 2009!
