3.10 Brave New World
After a month long hiatus we are finally treated to a fresh episode. I've been looking for to the Naley morning after all month. It was kinda good and we got to meet a new character. Now let's go on to the review.
Nathan/Haley: Can I get a What, What!! LOL! Yay! A Naley morning after! We get proof that they indeed do more then just sleep. And I've never been happier to see that. Although I was a little scared when we first saw the camera pan on Nathan because he looked like he regreted it. Which is something I really didn't want. What I didn't like was that once again Deb calls her son away and Naley don't even talk to each other. Nathan dresses and leaves to see his mother before Haley even wakes up.Dan unfortunately got the pleasure of waking her up and just creeping her out. Which I would to if my father-in-law walked in while I was still in bed naked and then him grabbing my bra looking at it. That was way to creepy. And his comment about Peyton being pleasant in the morning was just wrong. And to top it off he takes the note Nathan left for her, making her think that Nate just left her. It didn't look to good since Nathan wouldn't answer her calls, but we weren't left disappointed because in the end Nathan sows up at her doorstep and they end another night together. I can see that many good things will come for Naley and I can't wait!
Brooke/Lucas: Thank goodness that this non-exclusive relationship is over and they are now a full fledged couple. Like Nathan, Lucas is called away except Lucas actually tells Brooke goodbye. When Lucas tells Brooke it's Peyton she is a little concerned. Which is completely understandable. She is made to worry even more when she finds out they are heading out of town. And considering what happened last time they had went on a road trip, Brooke has every reason to worry. Although she doesn't say it to him because they are trying to trust eachother. Doesn't stop Brooke from spending the day worrying although not as much as her other problem. But in the end Lucas surprises her and completely shares his world with her making it special. I only wonder how long this lasts.
Lucas/Faith: We meet an old friend of Lucas' during his roadtrip with Peyton. We get to meet Faith who Luke apparently savedfrom being tormente dduring their freshman year of high school. She is highly intelligent like Lucas and a talented ball player and her mother happens to be a b-ball coach. She gives Lucas hell about now being part of the popular crowd and dating Brooke who she believed was Morgan Finley's, a super bicth cheerleader, most promising protege. Then in the end just reminds him not to change who he is. It was nice getting a little peak into Lucas' past. Although I would have liked if they had mentioned Haley since she was his best friend at that time and I'd think she hung out with them too.
Peyton/Ellie: This was the more emotional part of the ep. Peyton overcomes her feelings of guilt and hesitation and with the company of Lucas she goeas to see Ellie. At first she goes with the pretense of needing advice on how she wants to put out a record using Haley's song and they begin to bond. They discuss music and just seem to have a natural connection. I t was really great to watch because Peyton sincerely wants to form some kind of relationship with Ellie but doesn't really know how to go about it. It's hard for her to bring up the cancer but she does and when she sees Ellie's bare kitchen she assumes Ellie's there to die which brings about such an emotional scene that made me choke up. After having told Peyton she was fine, we later find out she stopped treatments, which is kind of scary. But in the end it's happy when she shows up on Peyton's doorstep. I really want to see them bond since Peyton hasn't had a mom for more than 7 years and just needs a relationship like that.
Nathan/Deb: Poor Nathan. Deb asks him to meet her just so she can confess that she was the one who tried to kill his father. Naturally Nathan is very upset. I mean wouldn't you be to if you found out your mom actually attempted to kill your dad. It's amzing to hear a woman explain how she was so scared to leave him but had no problem trying to kill him. I think Nathan said it best when he told her, "You didn't have the courage to leave him, but you had the courage to kill him?", it just summerized my thoughts. She went on to explain horrible things Dan had done and Nate realized that his mom was never happy. What was worse was when she told him she wasn't going back to Tree Hill. It was just so sad because his mom was abandoning him. I know she's scared but to leave her son in Dan's clutches is just wrong. It was a tearful goodbye.I can only hope that Deb does come back sooner or later.
Brooke/Clothing Line: Boy was Brooke way in over her head. She finally got her website up and running, which was a rapid surprise to me considering she had just come up with the clothing line Clothe Over Bro's the night before, but anyway she starts getting more orders than she can handle since she is only one person making the clothes and she gets more then 40 orders. She recruits Haley, Mouth and the rest of the Ravens cheer squad to help and rapidly becomes a bitchy dictator. She even recruits kids. In the end Haley sets her straigh and Brooke realizes it's her problem and no one elses. Brooke needs to pace herself because she just started and already she is digging herself in a whole. It was funny that as compensation to the kids she gives Haley's cds away. I love Brooke's clothes and I can only hope that it will be a succes for her.
Special Mentions: Interesting to see Mouth and Rachel get close. It was funny when Brooke came over and Rachel said," We were just talking about Mouth's thing.", giving a wrong impression on what thing they were discussing, which was catch phrases of sports announcers. We'll see if their is a love story there or if Rachel is just using him. It was also nice seeing Bevin again along with her brother and sister and two cousins. I always like seeing her. Hope to see more of her in future eps.
Until next time. Peace, Loves, and Hugs.
